1. Introduction
Welcome to Damp and Mould Solutions UK (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms govern your use of our website and our services. By continuing to use our website or engage our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.
2. Services Provided
We provide the following property services:
- • Damp proofing and rising damp treatment
- • Mould treatment and remediation
- • Condensation solutions and ventilation improvements
- • Leak investigation and moisture diagnostics
- • Property preservation and associated repairs
All services require a site survey and a Formal Quotation.
3. Quotations & Estimates
- • The online quote wizard provides an estimate only.
- • A Formal Quotation is issued only after a survey.
- • Quotations are valid for 30 days.
- • Discovery of hidden defects may alter the quotation.
4. Plaster Removal & Damp Proofing Depths
Damp remediation may require plaster removal up to 1.2m. You agree that:
- • Up to 1.2m is standard for rising damp treatment.
- • Less may be removed if moisture readings allow.
- • More than 1.2m may be required if conditions demand it (extra cost may apply).
- • Hidden issues (rot, brick defects, wiring, leaks) may be uncovered and are not included in the original quotation.
5. Payments, Deposits & Refunds
5.1 Deposits
- • Required to secure booking
- • Used to purchase materials
- • Allocates labour time
5.2 Deposit Refund Policy (Strict)
Deposits become non-refundable once:
- • A booking date has been confirmed
- • Materials are purchased
- • Labour time is booked
5.3 Balance Payment
The final balance is due upon completion. Late payments may incur interest.
5.4 Cancellation
- • Cancelling within 7 days may incur charges.
- • Deposits remain non-refundable.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- • Provide safe, clear access.
- • Notify us of hazards (asbestos, leaks, electrical issues).
- • Remove or protect belongings.
- • Ensure electricity and water access.
7. Access Issues & Additional Charges
- • Missed appointments may incur call-out fees.
- • Customer-caused delays may incur labour charges.
- • Unreported issues may require additional work/costs.
8. Guarantees
- • Guarantees apply only to completed work.
- • Issued after full payment.
- • May be void if ventilation is poor or property is altered.
9. Liability
We are not liable for:
- • Pre-existing structural issues
- • Damage caused by poor ventilation or leaks
- • Damage to unprotected belongings
- • Third-party workmanship
- • Hidden defects uncovered during work
Liability is capped at the value of works quoted.
10. Use of Our Website
- • You may not copy or extract pricing logic.
- • You may not misuse our website for competitive or fraudulent purposes.
- • All content is protected by copyright.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use signifies acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
